TD Bank is one of the leading banks in the US today and they offer many savings and lending products top customers who are located across the length and breadth of the country. In our series of the review of TD bank rates, we will turn our attention to the TD money market rates.

Before we go into the TD money market rates, we will describe some of the features of this investment option. The main advantage of money market accounts is the tiered interest rates that help you to earn more money by way of interest. There is no minimum amount required to open an account and the monthly maintenance fee is also waived if the minimum daily balance is more than $1,000. The maintenance fee is also waived for customers who are 62 years or more. Otherwise, a $12 monthly maintenance fee is charged directly to the account. The customers can write up to 3 checks in a month and along with this account, comes the option to use free Bill Pay and online banking. These accounts come with a lot of flexibility. One can open and maintain an account online or at the nearest branch.

The current TD interest rates for a money market account are 0.10% for a balance of less than $10,000. The rates are 0.25% for balances between $10,000 and $25,000 and 0.45% for balances between $25,000 and $100,000. The TD bank account rates for this account are 0.55% for balances over $100,000. These rates are very competitive in the current banking scenario and this makes it a good option for investment.

TD Bank offers three types of TD money market interest rates in three different money market account types. These TD Bank account types are: a standard money market account, a Premier, and an Ultra. We here at Bank Rates Info, as we look at all things TD Bank rates related, had to see what these money market savings plans offer. We will also look at the high-yield TD savings account rates available.

The Regular accounts for TD money market interest rates yields 0.35% annual percentage yield (APY) at a flat rate, regardless of deposit or account balance. This account has a $500 minimum deposit and a $1,000 minimum to avoid fees. It allows six transfers per month with 3 maximum checks drawn against the account without fees.

The Premier account TD money market interest rates are on two tiers. At up to $99,999 balance, the TD interest rates are 0.50% APY and at $100,000 or above, the APY is 0.75%. This account requires a $25,000 minimum balance, but is otherwise as above.

The Ultra account TD money market interest rates are in several tiers. This TD Bank account pays out 0.25% APY for deposits under $9,999 (minimum $1,000), 0.75% APY for above that to $24,999, 1.25% for $25,000-$99,999, and 2.0% APY for all balances above that. Otherwise, limitations are as above. This account also requires an attached TD Bank account (checking) with a $10,000 minimum balance.

For anyone interested in a solid investment to round out a portfolio, money markets are always a good option. TD interest rates are competitive and worth looking at. For those wanting the increased flexibility of TD savings account rates, the Premier Savings account offers TD interest rates similar to the money market account of the same name.
